BARRIER SAFE
Fragrance-free · No essential oils · No masking scent
Your "one and done" step. Four brightening pathways, 5% niacinamide, and zero fragrance — a daily treatment moisturizer built for perimenopausal skin that's dealing with dark spots and getting more reactive at the same time.
Meet your treatment and moisturizer in one
Most brightening creams make you choose: strong enough to work, or gentle enough for skin that's changed. Flawless is built on the premise that midlife skin shouldn't have to pick.
Four actives, four different routes to a more even tone:
-
5% Niacinamide — interrupts the transfer of pigment to your skin's surface cells
-
3% Tranexamic Acid — calms the inflammatory signal that drives hormonal discoloration
-
Kojic Acid — inhibits tyrosinase, the enzyme that makes pigment
-
Glucosamine — works further upstream, on tyrosinase maturation, a pathway most brighteners never touch
That's four different mechanisms, not one mechanism repeated four times. It's why Flawless works on hormonal discoloration that hasn't responded to a single-active vitamin C or a drugstore niacinamide.
And it's completely fragrance-free. No essential oils, no masking fragrance, nothing added for the scent. If your skin has become more reactive in your forties — flushing more easily, stinging at things that never used to bother you — that omission is not a small thing.
Built for the skin you have now, not the skin you had
Formulated for hormonally shifting, perimenopausal skin. A cushiony emollient base wraps skin in comfort while Glycerin and Urea replenish the natural moisturizing factors that decline as estrogen does.
An antioxidant complex of Astaxanthin, Green Tea Leaf Extract, stable Vitamin C (3-Glyceryl Ascorbate), and Tocopherol defends against the oxidative stress that drives new pigment. Lactobacillus Ferment, Saccharomyces Cerevisiae Extract, and Laminaria Digitata Extract support a calmer, more resilient-looking complexion.
8-week consumer study:
97% saw a brighter complexion · 95% felt more hydrated · 92% saw smoother skin.
Self-assessed results, 8 weeks of twice-daily use.
Day treatment, night "dream skin" cream
Use it as your treatment by day and "dream skin" cream by night to visibly improve:
- Dark spots and discoloration
- Uneven tone and sun damage
- Dull, lackluster skin
- Dryness and rough texture
Skin feels hydrated and comfortable, looks clearer and brighter, and over time appears more even, smooth, and luminous.
Why astaxanthin is in here.
Astaxanthin is one of the most-studied antioxidant carotenoids in skin research, with published work on moisture, elasticity, and protection against UV-induced oxidative damage — a key driver of hormonal dark spots. It's why Flawless defends against new discoloration while it works on the pigment you already have.

How to start: your first two weeks
After 32 years in the treatment room, here is the most common mistake I see: someone starts several new actives at once, their skin gets overwhelmed, and they decide the products don't work for them. Perimenopausal skin responds beautifully to actives — introduced slowly.
Patch test first. A small amount on your inner forearm or along your jawline, twice a day for two days, before it goes on your face.
Week 1 — every other morning. Week 2 — every morning, if week one felt comfortable. If you're also starting other new products, add them one at a time, four days apart, and save any exfoliant for last.
Wear sunscreen every morning. Broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher. Brightening actives make skin more sun-sensitive, and unprotected sun will undo your progress faster than any product can correct it.
Stop and email me at contact@purelybellabeauty.com if you notice stinging that doesn't settle within 15 minutes, redness that's still there a day after you stop, itching, bumps, or swelling. I'd always rather hear from you early.
Questions shoppers ask before buying
-
Will it irritate sensitive skin? Often it doesn't — but how you start matters more than what you start with. It's an active treatment moisturizer built for reactive skin: fragrance-free, no essential oils, no retinol, and no high-strength acids. Probiotics, marine algae, and a cushiony emollient base keep the barrier calm while the actives work. Follow the two-week build above, and patch test first if you have a history of reacting to kojic acid or to brightening actives. It is not a treatment for a barrier that is currently compromised. If you're not sure, email me before you start — I'd rather help you get it right than have you give up on your skin.

Why four different brighteners instead of one strong one? Because pigment forms through several pathways, and hitting one hard is how products get irritating without getting more effective. Four gentler mechanisms working together is the more tolerable route to the same place — and the only route that works for skin that's become reactive.
-
How soon will I see results? Skin looks more awake within the first week. The real shift in dark spots shows around the 6–8 week mark. Consistency is everything.
-
Do I need sunscreen with it? Yes — always. Brightening actives increase UV sensitivity, and UV is what created most of the discoloration in the first place. Broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every morning is non-negotiable, or discoloration can worsen instead of fading.
-
Is this a bleaching cream? No. It targets the look of pigment through a gentle, multi-pathway blend — no harsh bleaching, no rebound.
How to use — your everyday routine, once you're built up
-
AM: Apply 1–2 pumps to face, neck, and décolleté after cleansing and any water-based serums. Allow to absorb, then follow with broad-spectrum SPF 30+ every single day.
-
PM (Dream Skin Ritual): Apply as your final treatment moisturizer after cleansing and hydrating steps. Use alone or layer under a richer barrier cream if needed.
Sensitivity notes
This is an active treatment moisturizer. Introduce it slowly and avoid using it on the same nights as strong exfoliating acids or prescription-strength retinoids. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Reactive is not the same as compromised. Newly sensitive, easily flushed perimenopausal skin is exactly who this is built for. Active eczema, a rosacea flare in progress, broken or peeling skin, or skin recovering from a peel or procedure is not — wait until your barrier has calmed before starting any active.
Pro tip from Cathi: Brightening is a marathon, not a sprint. You'll look more awake in week one, but the real change in dark spots lands at 6–8 weeks. Pigment leaves in the order it arrived — the newest marks fade first, the stubborn ones take the full eight weeks. Stay consistent, wear your SPF, and trust the process. In 32 years in the treatment room, the patient results are always the ones that last.
