AROMATHERAPEUTIC
Both products are scented naturally with essential oils · No synthetic fragrance · Patch test if you react to botanicals
For skin that looks tired, dull, and less bouncy than it used to. Two overnight steps for a smoother, more rested-looking glow — without punishing your skin to get it.
Renewal does not have to mean irritation. That is the whole idea behind this pairing.
Dream Skin Night Cream delivers the cushioned, antioxidant-rich comfort. Bakuchiol + CoQ10 Renewal Oil Serum presses over the top as a lightweight oil finish that leaves skin looking supple and luminous by morning. Cream for comfort, oil for renewal.
Value $132 · Your ritual price $115
The two steps, and what each one is doing
-
1 · Dream Skin Night Cream — your nightly anchor. Astaxanthin, shea butter, squalane, and retinyl palmitate support smoother-looking, more hydrated skin overnight.
-
2 · Bakuchiol + CoQ10 Renewal Oil Serum — the renewal layer. Bakuchiol, squalane, CoQ10, cloudberry seed oil, and vitamin E replenish dry, changing skin and soften the look of fine lines.
Why oil over cream, and not the other way around?
The cream goes on first because it delivers water-based comfort. The oil goes last because it seals that in and gives the final layer its glow. Reverse them and the oil blocks the cream from doing its job.
Choose this ritual if
- Dullness, rougher texture, dehydration lines, or a tired-looking complexion are what you notice in the mirror.
- You want a gentler alternative to a high-strength retinoid routine.
- Your skin is dry, normal, or combination-dehydrated and likes a comforting nighttime finish.
- You are comfortable with naturally scented formulas and willing to patch test.
Choose a different ritual if your skin currently feels raw, tight, or reactive — start with The Support Ritual and add renewal once it has settled.
How to start: your first two weeks
Adding two renewal products at once is how a routine ends up abandoned. Go slowly and let your skin tell you what it wants.
Patch test first. Apply a small amount of each product along the jawline or inner forearm for two evenings before facial use.
Week 1 — Dream Skin every other night.
Week 2 — Add 1–2 drops of Renewal Oil over Dream Skin on alternate nights, then build toward nightly only if skin feels comfortable.
Wear sunscreen every morning. Broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher is non-negotiable with any renewing nighttime routine.
Questions about this ritual
-
Do I use both products every night? Eventually, yes — but build up. Dream Skin is the nightly anchor; the oil is the layer you add when your skin looks and feels like it wants more.
-
Can I use either one on its own? Absolutely. On minimal nights, Dream Skin alone is a complete step. On very dry nights, a few drops of oil pressed over damp skin works too. The set exists because most women end up wanting both.
-
How does this fit with exfoliation? On the nights you use Gentle Renewal Exfoliating Pads — 1–2 evenings weekly — follow with Dream Skin and skip the oil at first. Add the oil back only once your skin is fully comfortable. Never layer new actives on an exfoliation night.
-
How much oil is enough? Two to three drops for the whole face and neck. You can also mix the drops into Dream Skin in your palm before applying if you prefer one step.
-
Will bakuchiol work like a prescription retinoid? No. This is a cosmetic overnight ritual for the appearance of dry, dull, textured skin — not a prescription treatment or a replacement for one.
-
Is it fragrance-free? No. Both products carry naturally derived essential-oil scent. Patch test if plant oils have bothered your skin before.
Your evening, once you are fully built up
-
Start clean — Begin with freshly cleansed skin.
-
Dream Skin — Press a pea-sized amount into face and neck.
-
Renewal Oil — Press 2–3 drops over the cream, concentrating on drier areas.
-
Rest — Let it settle before bed.
Pro tip from Cathi: Keep it simple. Cream is the anchor, oil is the extra. Two products used consistently will do more for your skin than six used erratically.
This ritual is one of three steps in The Perimenopause Method — Support, Renew, Brighten.
Every purchase supports the Connecticut Cancer Foundation, so caring for your skin also supports women and families facing cancer.
