How to use
After cleansing, apply a pea-sized amount of Dream Skin to face and neck. Press 1–2 drops of Renewal Oil on top for a richer finish. Use broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher during the day.
Before you start
Patch test separately. Begin Dream Skin every other evening, then introduce the oil on alternate nights if comfortable. Increase only as tolerated. Both contain essential oils; Dream Skin contains retinyl palmitate, so this set is not retinoid-free. Avoid irritated skin and stop if irritation occurs. Check with your dermatologist before combining with prescription retinoids.

The serum oil comes in a 1fl.oz. heavy frosted glass bottle with a rather large cap (the cap takes a bit strength to remove, fyi) and a locking pump. The oil itself is a really cheery yellow color. This has a more oily consistency than a regular serum, thus you don’t need a lot. Just be mindful of that when you are applying, product comes out of the pump very easily! It has a really lovely botanical lavender scent that makes this just a joy to use - for all of your senses! I just applied this to my skin with my fingers, it’s not sticky in the least and it doesn’t soak in or dry as quickly as you think it would. But once it does soak in your skin just feels plump and hydrated and rejuvenated. I cannot wait to start using this after the Purely Bella exfoliating pads because the two together are going to feel so good.

Your questions, answered
Is the whole ritual retinoid-free?
No. The oil serum uses bakuchiol rather than retinol, but Dream Skin Night Cream contains retinyl palmitate, a vitamin A derivative. This set is not retinoid-free and is not a substitute for prescription treatment. If you use a prescription retinoid, check with your dermatologist before adding the ritual.
Is The Renew Ritual fragrance-free?
No. Both products contain essential oils, and the oil serum includes lavender essential oil. Naturally derived scent does not mean irritation-free. Patch test each product before facial use, especially if your skin has reacted to botanicals or essential oils. If you need a fragrance-free routine, this is not the right pairing.
Can I use either product on its own?
Yes. You can use Dream Skin alone on nights when you want a simpler routine and add the oil when your skin wants a richer finish. You do not need to use more oil to get more from the ritual. Start with less and adjust to how your skin feels.
